Veuve Clicquot Award

In November 2009 we will be calling for nominations for the 2010
Award. Nominations will be considered by a panel comprising
business leaders, past winners and experts.

Criteria are those which made Madame Clicquot such a successful
business woman - strong business leadership: motivational ability,
entrepreneurship, business acumen, dynamism, innovation, style,
tenacity, charisma and, of course, a healthy balance sheet. Along
with, to bring it up to date, a genuine commitment to responsible
and sustainable growth.

Criteria
Applications must give evidence against the following areas:
1. Entrepreneurship: founder/leader of business, driving force
behind success through pioneering approach.
2. Genuine commitment to responsible and sustainable business
practises
– such as environmental policies, employee benefits,
workforce diversity, community schemes & relationship, or purpose
of business.
3. Financial Success: sustained profitable business growth and a
healthy balance sheet.
4. Role model for other women: mentoring, succession planning, pushing boundaries, relationship building with colleagues and employees.

The shortlist of up to five women will be announced in early March
and the actual winner will be announced on the 23rd March 2010.

The presentation of the award will take place at the Institute of
Contemporary Art, London. The winner will then take part in the
International Businesswoman forum at Veuve Clicquot in Reims,
visiting the Manoir de Verzy and our vineyards, where she will have
a vine dedicated to her.
